Arkitektur skabes i høj grad gennem repræsentationer.

Architectural creation takes place to a large extent through representations. In this context, the architectural model holds a significant position as a spatial depiction and tool for experimentation. These may include models developed as volume studies, sketching methods, exploration of material junctions, presentation tools, and more. Presenting architectural models made by students has been recurring part of section 1 in the magazine for years. In May 2026 Arkitekten issued an Open Call on instagram, in order to dedicate an entire issue to the architectural model. More than 100 models were submitted from architecture students from around the world. 20 models have been selected by the editors and featured in the magazine.
