A professional juror from the Danish Association of Architects (MAA) is an ambassador of Danish architectural quality. All jurors have been through an application process and have been carefully selected based on their abilities; they are specialists in their field and architecturally visionary while always guaranteeing architectural value.
The Danish Association of Architects has experienced and recognized professional jurors in not only building, but also urban planning and landscape. Besides having completed a mandatory professional juror course at the Danish Association of Architects, they all have a substantial amount of practical experience and careers in counselling, managing, planning, research or communication.
By ‘translating’ the architectural content for the other members of the jury, a juror MAA makes sure that you get a high-quality review process. Our jurors both respect and encourage diverging opinions, thereby guaranteeing an impartial and fair assessment.
A professional juror can be appointed to:

Landscape architects
We collaborate with the Association of Danish Landscape Architects (DL) to increase our capacity in professional jurors specialising in landscape architecture. DL nominates some of their most accomplished members, and after they have taken the professional juror course at the Danish Association of Architects, they can also be appointed to assignments as professional jurors MAA.

The cost of a professional juror MAA is typically between 5.500-6.500 € (roughly $6.000-7.000) excl. VAT., depending on the nature of the project, its complexity, the amount of entries and review meetings. The appointment is made by the Danish Association of Architects’ Competition Committee based on considerations regarding the professional profile for the assignment in question. The Danish Association of Architects charges a fee of 700 € or $750 excl. VAT per professional juror appointed.
