Sustainable Future – Leave No One Behind is the title of The World Congress of Architecture in Copenhagen 2023. Design for inclusivity is a central theme for the entire discussion of social sustainability.
The Diversity & Equality Platform has invited CEO Mette Lindberg from the UIA2032CPH office to tell all about the congress. What is the scope? What will happen? Who is expected to participate? And how can we as a collective or individually contribute to the program?
Ruth Baumeister, Associate Professor at Aarhus School of Architecture will join us online and present the thoughts behind the theme “Design for Inclusivity” and her perspective on the topic. Ruth is specializing in the post-war European avant-gardes in architecture and art. Her recent research interests include gender studies, work-futures, activism and civil disobedience in architecture. Currently she acts as a scientific advisor for “Design for Inclusivity” at the UIA 2023 Copenhagen conference.
Magda Mostafa, Architect and researcher, from the American University in Cairo will join us online. She is a part of the Scientific Committee of the congress and also a Special Needs Design Associate at Progressive Architects.
